Tony
Tony was my great-grandaddy's horse and he was very special to
him. He was a cute and funny colt. Once GG and Grandee were riding
in to the waterhole and Grandee was sitting too far on his whithers.
When Tony bent over to take a drink Grandee went right over his
head into the pond. Another time GG came home laughing and said" We're
gonna have to get that horse some drivers license." When GGM (Great-Grandmother)
asked why he told 'em " You know how I always leve the truck windows
down? Well Tony stuk his head in there and honked the horn. I'll
tell you, he'd be good at rush hour traffic driving." Tony even
rang the doobell and any thing else he could push with his nose.
When Tony was sold, it was the saddest day of GG's life.

One day my mom and I were looking for a horse for me.We went to
the amish and found a beautiful paint mare.And she had a bad tooth
,and it ended up to be a shattered tooth.She had to have surgery
on it.After that I started to ride her,and she was very spooky
and head shy.My mom and I worked with her to gain her trust.And
I started to ride her again after we worked with her.We bought
her to be my barrel horse.The very first summer she bucked me off
4 times at the rodeos and the horse shows.The second summer I rode
her she had an attitude that day,and she gave me a concusion at
one of the horse shows.And I won 23 ribbons on her ,but only on
her good days.Then one day I was lopeing her down our gravel rode
last summer and she spooked from a turky flying out of the bushes,and
she went one way and I went the other way.Then for a week I went
to school and done everythang that I ussualy did,except I could
not lifed my arm.Then my mom took me to the doctors to check my
arm to see if it was broken.And forshore it was broken right below
my growth plate.This summeer I have won 30 ribbons and a plaque
with a trophy on it ,and a halter too.This summer she only bucked
me off once.She is really a pretty good mare.Shes a chestnut paint
mare,and she is six year old.I do not know why but I still love
her after all of the stuff that she has done to me.THE END!

Hi,
My horses name is Classie. She is a wonderful horse. She is a quarter horse
and a appolousa. We go on trail rides 2 times every week.Classie is the best
trail riding horse at the stables. She always does what I say and never gets
mad. Me and Classie have always gotten along very well. She's my favorite
horse in the world. She's the only horse I want to ride when I get to the
stables. One time when we were on the trail she saw a rabbit and she started
to go into the woods after it but I pulled on the rains. And she didn't try
to do that ever again. Because she knows that I have constrol of her when
I ride her. I love Classie She's the best horse!!

I have a 1 year old filly that I am training and her name is Mimi.
She is a Pinto and really sweet. Here is my story. I had been trying
and trying to get a halter on her and finally one day with the
help of my friend Joelle I got it on. About 2 weeks later it came
off somehow. I think it might have been a little loose. So now
i have to get it on her all over again.

Phantom
Hi,I'm Nikki and I am going to tell you about my 5 year old Througherbred-Arabian
mixed stallion named Phantom.Phantom is the sweetest horse.He loves
to run,and he loves his 3year old dauter,Dixie, and Dixie's 7 year
old mom,Darla.One day,my oldest triplet sister,Kimberly,was riding
Darla,and my second triplet sister Kathy, was riding 13 year old
pepper, a old appaloosa gelding.We were going to the lake when
all of a sudden the horses bolted right toward the lake.Phantom
was in the leage,Darla was second,and old pepper was in third.
We pulled back but only Pepper and Darla stopped...Phantom kept
running.Tears ran down my face because the wind whipped my eyes.Then
as I tried to make out what was infront of my,there was a HUGE
log infront of Phantom.Ofcourse..he jumped it.I slipped and fell.I
sprained my wrist but that was all.Phantom stayed with me until
my sisters came and helped.

Cherokee Saddle Club.I rode in a horse show a couple months ago
an I won 1st place! It was kind of hard because I had to compete
agianst my cousin, Stephany. She won 2nd place though. In the horse
show I rode a horse named Kayla. But now I'm more advanced so I
ride a horse named Selena. And my sister rides Kayla. Shadow, Is
a black quater horse about 16 hands bucked me one time.Oh, and
I forgot to tell you what kind of riding that I do I do western

horse named badger was eating some hay then along came some bullies
and this is wat they say they say get off our hay get of our hay
just then looking a bit surprised badger the horse cried and cried
looking hurt he said to the bullies go and pick on someone your

were chasing him but just then when every thing was going to turn
worse badgers mum squirrel said go away or i will kick you then

Cleo is my first pony...Well she's in foal to a TB/QH. She does
all sorts of stunts that I didn't teach her!She does this thing
we call shake her brains out(she does something like a whip lash)and
touch her toes. She bows for me,better yet she waits for every
one else to go in their stalls and then she comes in. She used
to be my Sort Stirrups pony...I love my pony to pieces! She is
one of a kind!

Hi! My name is Lizzy and i am 14 years old. Babe#1 is one of the
best horses out of the 13 i have. She is an 11 year-old strawberry
roan Quarter Horse mare. She is 16 hands tall, and is a sweetheart.
I've won 2 saddles and 20 buckles off of her over the past two
years I have ridden her on barrels and poles! She is getting way
2 slow for me now. She ran 18's and 19's on barrels and 24's and
25's on poles! She's taught me most of everything I know about
barrel racing.I had to get a faster barrel racing horse named Trigger.
He runs 15's and 16's on barrels and 21's on poles! The reason
her name is "Babe #1 is b/c I have another horse with the same
name, so I named her Babe #1 and the other Babe #2!She's a different

Hey! My name is Lizzy and I'm live way down south in Louisiana!
I am 14 years old. Babe #2 is a chestnut Quarter Horse mare! I
am training her for barrels and poles. Sometimes I feel like she's
trying to knock me out when she throws her head up!She's punched
me in the nose before and it hurt! She is getting pretty good at
it. She ran a 23 on barrels the other day!She would be faster if
she could turn sharper. Babe #2 is an ornery horse! Sometimes I
have 2 fight her to keep her from running. Every once in a while,
I would put a saddle on her instead of riding her bareback,that

HI,my name is Sierra.I have a story to tell.One day i was riding
my pony named Hearts,and me and my friends were riding,SSSSSSOOO,we
were trotting over some trroting poels and at the first poel, Hearts
jumped,so when i got to the 5 poel,i stowly slide to the right
of him,then i tride to reach the righns BUT,i couldent.He didnt
stop.THEN,after the troting poels there was a 3 poele jump.Hearts
jumped it while i was still on the side.I fell off,and broke the
jump.Iwas so scared.Then later we went on a trail ride and Hearts
reard.Once agen i fell off.So that wasnt exsacle the best day ever.THE

Hello for the third time.This is sierra.I am now telling you about
my horse peunut.I traind him.First i hade to get him publiclie
intraduced.In other words,get him use to people.He often hide behinde
his mum Appye.After a while, he got use to it.Then i hade too hold
him from his neck to, his rump.He kicked intille he got use too
it onece agen.Then i put a halter on him for 10 to 15 minautes
every day.Then i leade him beiside his mum.(with a lead rope)Finalye!!!!!!When
hes 1 year old,i put on the saddle, but before i get up on him
i lean on him,so he getsto feel the wait on him.

Buttens
Buttens was my family pony.He was a Roan couler,and he was the
most cutest pony that ever.BUT he wasnt the best.You see,he founderd
every spring.Thats why we didnt have alot of spring fever.We moved
to erin and, so we didnt have all the fences.We sent Buttens over
too a friends house.They hade him for about a year untill,one early
Saterday morning i went out too feed him,But, sadlye i found him
in his stall,lying still.I was very very worried.I didnt want to
barge,into the house saying that he was dead so i opend the creaky
stall door,he still to my surprise didnt move.I knew the right
thing too do WAS too go and tell.They called the vet,and the vet
said that he died a sudden death.No one ever found out what it
was.

i have a beautiful grey pony named Bluey. i love him so much.
he will do anything for me. i jump him about 55 cm. i love to go
to shows with him, he tries his best all the time. he is Totally
bombproof and he has a best Friend named Billy, Billy's owner Maddie
is also my best friend. i would never ever sell Bluey if my life
depended on it. Bluey is a welsh Mountain, Pure Bred. he is so
kind and loveable, i could stay here talking about him all day,
but i better not!!

Billy
Billy is a grey welsh mountain pony the age of 15 years. He has
just moved in at my place and is settling quite well. The best
thing about Billy is the love and care he has given me.I met billy
when I was an early aged beginner rider and knew nothing much about
horses. Billy taught me most of the things you need to know around
him. So did my best friend Hayley who's ponies name is Bluey. I
learnt to jump on Billy and still don't master it and I don't think
I ever will but at least I try. Aad thats the main thing right?
Anyway I am so lucky to have such a good pony. The things I have
to be careful with are these:
1. Be careful around Billy and food. He is very tetorial!
2. Be careful when bringing him his paddock when he is out on the tether. He
is VERY fond of his grass!
3. Let him have his feed every night and do not be BOSSY around him. Espesially
around his face. He is head shy, not around the people he knows though.

Rusty, Bristol and Kodiak
Hi,
I started out with a Racking horse named Rusty. I love him to death and he
looked so sad because he was the only horse here. I decided to look for another
horse. I went to CANTER and looked at ex-race horses. I found one named L.A
Elizibeth, I rode her one day and she took off with me at there 40mph gallop
and threw me into the back of a car. No injuries to me, just the car. I decided
not to get her. The next day I looked at other horses and I was so sore I
could not go any faster than a walk or my side would spit open from the cut.
I rode a Paint and I did a Canter because he was so smooth it did not hurt
me. I got him and he didn't have a name, so we named him Bristol. So now
I have two FABULOUS horses, but I just got another horse, Kodiak a Friesian
x Shire gelding who will be my next horse I work with on the Equestrian meet.
Yes I am in High school, and I went on this site because of my sister, and
thought I would post this up. If you have any questions on getting a horse
on what you should or should not do. OR need a good place for ads or even
places around you, I can help just e-mail me. I am always happy to help someone

Ceilidh
I don't own a horse but my favorite horse is Ceilidh, and lives
at Bengal Lancers, the stable I ride at.
I know everyone says no horse is perfect, but to me Ceilidh is perfect! She
stands still when you're grooming her or tacking up, she jumps like a dream,
and has very smooth gaits!
Ceilidh is a bay pony, about 13.2 hh and is 12 years old!
But i'm scared i'm going to out grow her!
Oh, I forgot, Ceilidh has one downside. She doesn't really like other horses,
but that doesn't matter to me! ( well not really anyways, but it does get kinda
hard in a riding lesson with seven other horses!)

Lightning
Hi. My name is Alicia. My horse's name is Lightning. He is part
thourghbred and part quarter horse. I have been riding since i
was 4 years old and i am now 15 years old. One day I went riding
and I rode Lightning. Then my riding teacher wanted me to ride
another horse names Sadie when I was done with Lighting, so I did.
My grandma took Lightning out of his stall and was going to go
let him graze while I rode Sadie. Well, he took off trying to get
to me. My riding teacher yelled "Lightning, stop!", but he didn't
listen to her. Then i yelled "Lightning!", and he stopped dead
in his tracks. It was so funny to see the look on his face. He
doesn't like it when i ride other horse. I guess you could say
that he can get very jelious sometimes. So now whenever I ride
another horse, we make sure that he stays in he stall. Well that

Hi, my name is Amber. My horses name is Kiowa. She is a Quarter
Horse and we run barrels. When we bought Kiowa she was 3. I put
my old horse, who i call old man, in the pen with Kiowa. They were
fine and getting along ok so i went out into the next pasture to
help my grandparents. All the sudden my dad was walking over to
the pasture with Kiowa. My old horse had pened kiowa up in a corner
and was kicking her. She had no where to go so she decided to try
and jump the fence. When she tried the fence didn't give and the
fence post went right into her leg. The vet said that if it had
been not even an inch closer it would have hit her lung and killed
her. I didn't get to go to the rodeo that night. I was off of her
for a YEAR!!!! I had to retrain her and it was slow and sometimes
frustrating but we got through it and now she running barrels faster
than ever and we are winning lots and lots of money.

My story is about a lovable horse named Scribbles.I've loved horses
every sense I saw them. I'm a horse crazy girl with red hair. I
voluteer at the therpudic horsemanship of west michigan. It's where
people who are mentally and phyiscally challenged go to have a
second chance in life.I went there the first time and I saw this
really,really cute paint pony. He LOVES to nudge and search you
for treats.I love to play and groom him alot. He loves the attention
and the other fillys and coalts get jealous and want attention
too. I'm glad I get to spend time with him and I can't wait for
him to be a full grown horse!I have a very speacial bond with him.

Hi everyone!! This is Sara. I've written here before. Well, I've
decided to keep everyone updated on my horse Cricket. When I wrote
my last story, I was 10 years old, now I'm 11. Cricket is just
5 months older than me!! Anyways, I've now owned her for 7 months.
We are progressing slowly, but we are getting there!!
We recently started going over groun poles, she seems to like
them ok. She's doing very well. I've fallen off her once, it was
a pretty bad fall, but luckely, I'm ok. Today, Nov.26,2003, I took
Cricket out to groom her, when I walked into her corral, she came
cantering up to me. I felt so loved!
Cricket, is an 11 year old Quarter Horse mare. Black with a small
star on her forehead. We are working on dressage. We're getting
there, just taking things slow.
